Not all was good, before the Fall

There is a tendency to assert that everything that God did, before the Fall, was pronounced good or very good. This is not the case. In Genesis 2, prior to the Fall, we read:

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; (Gen 2:18)

God created Adam alone. And that, at least taken in isolation, was not good. The text is clear. Now, there is no question that ultimately everything God does is for good (for those who love him), but nevertheless this a clear example of "not-goodness", in Eden, before the Fall.
